"Walk&Talk is an annual Arts Festival in the Azores - happening during two weeks in July -,  and an annual program of art residencies that are held throughout the year. Experimental and participative, Walk&Talk encourages the creation of new art objects in dialogue with the territory and the sociocultural specificities of the Azorean region. The project focuses on the involvement of local communities, migrants and visitors, through the knowledge that is generated by expanded domains of the arts, intersecting art, dance, performance, theatre, architecture, design, cinema and music.
Walk&Talk takes place in São Miguel Island since 2011, in 2016 expanded its dynamics to Terceira Island and during nine editions the project has hosted more than three hundred artists from multiple geographic and backgrounds. The festival shaped an Art Circuit consisting of more than 70 interventions, which are more or less ephemeral, that are mapped and can be visited in urban and rural public spaces, on the two islands of the archipelago. The festival program also gathers an Exhibition Circuit with projects developed by artists’ in-residency, dance and theatre shows, music concerts, performances, talks, and parallel events in various cultural venues and initiatives that promote knowledge towards the arts." (www.walktalkazores.org)
